Bechtel National, Inc., Project Director Ted Feigenbaum has more than 35 years experience in engineering, design, construction, startup, licensing, operations and decomissioning in the commercial nuclear power field. Most recently, Ted was the President and General Manager for Bechtel SAIC Company, LLC (BSC), the management and operating contractor for the Department of Energy’s Office of Civilian Radioactive Waste Management. BSC was responsible for designing the Yucca Mountain repository systems and facilities, and conducting the work necessary to prepare a license application for submittal to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Ted also served as President and Chief Executive Officer at the Maine Yankee Atomic Power Company, where he was responsible for decommissioning the 25-year-old, 900-megawatt commercial nuclear facility. In addition, Ted was the Site Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer at the Seabrook Nuclear Power Station during construction, startup, licensing and operations. He completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and earned a bachelor of engineering degree in mechanical engineering from the City College of New York. Ted is a registered Professional Engineer in New York state.
