It’s not too late! Flu season is just beginning and the flu shot is very effective in preventing this potentially deadly disease. Peak flu season is January through February; getting immunized as late as December will still protect you and those you love. While the worksite flu shot clinics are completed this year, flu shots are still available starting Friday, Nov.21st at the AMH health care centers 1979 Snyder and at 2 West. No appointment needed. At 1979 Snyder please try to come between 11am and 3pm, and at 2 West from 10am to 11pm.
Influenza (AKA “the flu”) is a serious viral lung infection that kills more than 35,000 people in the U.S. every year. To avoid infection or serious illness, GET YOUR FLU SHOT! Also, since coughs, sneezes and hand-to-hand (direct or indirect) contact spread the virus, heed the flu season rules: “Stay at home, cover your cough, wash your hands.”
