Description:
This photo shows a boiler after it has been knocked over by heavy equipment. The debris will be cut up and placed in a lined, regulated disposal facility on the Hanford Site. Contractor CH2M HILL Plateau Remediation Company used American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding to demolish the second of two 50,000-square-foot, coal-burning power houses in Hanford’s 200 Area. Heavy equipment knocked over the facility's large boilers in September 2011.
