Officials from the Department of Energy, contractor CH2M HILL Plateau Remediation Company, the State of Washington, and congressional staff members thanked employees at the Plutonium Finishing Plant for the safe storage and shipment of plutonium during a ceremony at the plant on Dec. 17, 2009. Officials congratulated employees on completing shipments of material containing plutonium out of the plant in November.
