Document Date: 04/29/2009

Description:
Building 212N (foreground), a nuclear facility, along with buildings 212P and 212R, both contaminated facilities, were once used as storage facilities for irradiated fuel rods on their way from nuclear reactors along the Columbia River to plutonium processing facilities in central Hanford. Each building is 9,707 square feet and includes a steel frame concrete block shear wall, a precast concrete roof, and a heavily reinforced concrete basement. CH2M HILL Plateau Remediation Company expects to begin demolition of the three buildings in May 2009 with completion by the end of September 2009.
