Personnel with CH2M HILL Plateau Remediation Company, DOE, and media visitors visited a large tunnel under the 183K West Sedimentation Basin to see piping that once carried Columbia River water to the treatment facility and cool K West Reactor operations from the 1950s to the 1970s. Demolition and cleanup of the 100K West Reactor Water Treatment Facilities is a $17.6M Recovery Act funded project.
