Tri-Party Agreement Milestones

To accomplish its mission, the Groundwater Remediation Project, managed by Fluor Hanford, focuses on protecting, remediating and monitoring Hanford groundwater. Program team members - including Fluor Hanford, CH2M Hill Hanford Group, and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory staff - work closely with the U.S. Department of Energy and Hanford regulators (the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Washington State Department of Ecology).

The Groundwater Remediation Project also coordinates and performs scientific research and development to support decision-making activities at Hanford and manages Hanford's modeling and assessment capabilities aimed at cleaning up the groundwater. The inclusion of these activities ensures that the Groundwater Remediation Project encompasses the full range of expertise needed to accelerate cleanup of Hanford groundwater.
