Course Evaluations and Commendations

Evaluation from Tony Medrano, P.E., Director,
Quality Assurance Program Office, USEPA Region 8
To Jo Ann Griffith/OSWER

March 31, 2005

Jo Ann:

Last week R8 hosted Sebastian Tindall's course, Managing Uncertainty with Systematic Planning for Environmental Decision-Making. First, I want to thank you for funding this course. I just read through the course evaluations and, without exception, the students gave extremely high marks to the course, its content, usefulness and applicability to project management. This is our fourth offering to EPA, state and contract staff and each time we get positive feedback. We are beginning to see solid evidence that the principals taught are being applied to project planning. The initial reports/feedback indicate the effectiveness and more and more RPMs are sharing their experiences.

I am acutely aware of budget limitations to support training of all varieties. However, based on my personal observations and positive feedback I strongly advise continued support for this course.
