DOE EH-31 DQO/DQA Training
Course Logistics

Here are our logistical needs for presenting the DQO training:

1) Large conference room (preferably square in shape), which will hold ~30-60 people seated at tables, with a very large slide projector screen (or blank wall) at one end;

2a) "Picnic" type tables for the students arranged such that 6-8 students sit abreast in about 4-5 rows (usually with an aisle down the center of the room). See our Floor Plan PDF on our web page. The course binders contain fold-out charts which will require space for students. A Rectangular Floor Plan arrangement normally will limit the class size to ~30 students, as a 7th row will put those students far away from the instructor and the screen. A Rectangular Floor Plan is not desirable. The Square Floor Plan is ideal as more students can be seated abreast (8-12) meaning we can seat 40-60 students in the same 4-5 rows. We urge you to use the Square Floor Plan.

2b) Four (4) separate "picnic" tables (a whole row of tables) in the front of the room, butting up against the first row of student tables, for our use to mount/place our laptop, various training tools and materials, projector, etc.

3) We usually provide a computer slide projector to show our slides with. We will also supply a laptop computer containing the course slides, which we will connect to the projector. We will need a electrical outlet nearby the laptop and projector. We will bring a power strip with a three-prong plug. We may need a 2nd power strip.
Also, we may need duct tape to tape over these wires/cables so no one will trip over them.

4) DSL or telephone line connection to the Internet so we can display our DOE DQO Web Page (NOT REQUIRED).

5) A flip chart to write on, mounted on a separate easel, in the front of the room. Or a white board NOT blocked or behind the screen. Colored marking pens to write/draw with.

Thank you,

Sebastian Tindall
