Due to the Government Shutdown and subsequent lapse in appropriations, the October 10th State of the Hanford Site meeting at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick, Washington has been postponed until further notice.  We will evaluate the October 15, 16 and 17, 2013 State of the Hanford Site meetings, and will communicate any changes by the end of next week.  We will continue to update you as more information becomes available.

The Tri-Party Agreement agencies (U.S. Department of Energy, Washington State Department of Ecology, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency) invite you to participate in this year’s State of the Hanford Site meetings being held in October.  These meetings offer the opportunity for interested members of the public to discuss Hanford cleanup progress, challenges, and priorities with top decision-makers from the agencies.

Each State of the Hanford Site meeting will include “open house”-style, informal sessions with the three agencies and regional organizations involved or interested in Hanford cleanup. Please check back to this site for updated information.

*The Kennewick meeting will begin with an open house at 5:30 p.m., followed by the meeting at 6:30 p.m. In Seattle, Portland and Hood River, the open house will begin at 6:00 p.m., with the meeting beginning at 7 p.m. Meetings are scheduled for two hours, but the agencies will be available for questions following the meeting.
