TPA Agencies to Host June 7 Information Exchange on Preliminary Remediation Technologies for Hanford’s Deep Vadose Zone
Tribal nations and interested stakeholders are invited to a June 7 information exchange hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Washington State Department of Ecology. The purpose of this meeting is to get your feedback on the initial list of technologies and suggestions on other technologies that should be considered for addressing contamination in Hanford’s deep vadose zone.
In July 2010, a stakeholder workshop identified technical needs to be addressed for the deep vadose zone. The June 7, 2011 information exchange continues the discussion on potential remediation technologies - from unproven to well-established.
The information exchange will be held at:
The Shilo Inn
50 Comstock, Richland
Tuesday, June 7
8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
