In August, 2010 only a few sections of the 183K West Sedimentation Basin remained to be demolished.

Demolition begins on the east half of the 183K West Filter Basin in late June 2010. The Filter Basin was part of the 100K West Reactor Water Treatment Facility that CH2M HILL is demolishing with support from Recovery Act funding.

About 20,000 cubic yards of concrete debris from the demolished basins will be recycled as fill for the U Canyon demolition project.
