The status of projects reflected in the Hanford Site 5-Year Plan, as updated at the beginning of each fiscal year, serves as the basis for Hanford Site input into the Office of Environmental Management (EM) Strategic Vision.

The Strategic Vision is updated annually to reflect DOE’s commitment to environmental cleanup at all its sites, including Hanford, for the upcoming 10 years. This public and stakeholder engagement on the Hanford Site 5-Year Plan is incorporated into Hanford’s submission into the EM Strategic Vision.

The goals and objectives communicated in the EM Strategic Vision inform the prioritization process and the cycle repeats annually.
