Bechtel National, Inc. (BNI)

Bechtel National, Inc. (BNI), one of the prime contractors for DOE’s Office of River Protection at Hanford, is charged with the design, construction, and start up of the Waste Treatment Plant at the Site.  This mammoth construction project is the largest of its kind in the world.  When complete, the Waste Treatment Plant will be used to transform the 53,000,000 gallons of radioactive and chemical wastes being stored in underground tanks at Hanford into a stable glass form for permanent disposal.
