'Bechtel Logo - 2023'Bechtel National, Inc. (BNI) is charged with the design, construction, and start-up of the Waste Treatment Plant at the Site. This mammoth construction project is the largest of its kind in the world. When complete, the Waste Treatment Plant will be used to transform Hanford's 53 million gallons of radioactive and chemical wastes stored in underground tanks into a stable glass form for permanent disposal.
