The site leadership team has consistently focused on the health and safety of our Hanford teammates, by methodically and effectively implementing guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. As knowledge of the disease has increased, due to the dedicated effort of our nation’s science and healthcare experts, we have continued to evolve our site safety measures while working in close coordination with our local community leaders and healthcare providers.
Current information for all Hanford workers can be found at the links listed on this page, which include all site level communications issued since March 2020. This page is updated when new messages are issued at Hanford regarding COVID-19. You may also check for updates on the Hanford Mobile app or through your employer’s notification system. Those working at the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant will be notified via radio of any changes in status.
Thank you for your adherence to site health and safety protocols throughout the pandemic, demonstrating your continuing commitment to your Hanford teammates. If you have not yet made the choice to vaccinate, we encourage you to seek advice from your personal healthcare provider to ensure that you can make the best choice for yourself and your family during these challenging times. By continuing to work together as a One Hanford team, we can shape a bright future for our site, our community, our region, and our nation.
For more resources on vaccination, please visit: HPMC OMS, Benton-Franklin Health District, Washington State Department of Health, or the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
