Welcome to the 2018 Safety Connect Health and Safety Exposition (EXPO). This year’s event will feature the following five focus areas with the objectives to improve organizational safety culture, expand safety awareness, inspire innovation and apply science to the topic of safety:
Safety EXPO – emphasis is to provide information, equipment, supplies and success stories that promote the health and safety of workers and their families both at home and at work.
Higher Education and STEM - emphasis is to inspire higher education and STEM integration by uniting community partners in a collective effort to advocate STEM learning opportunities.
First Responders – emphasis is to highlight awareness of our first responders and emergency services, and to demonstrate lessons learned on safety issues occurring throughout the Tri-City area.
Science of Safety – emphasis is to improve safety and productivity of employees as well as attract the next generation workforce to motivate innovation and new ways of doing business. Robotic demonstrations will be featured to showcase modern technology and its ability to help protect workers.
Health and Work/Life Balance - emphasis is to encourage healthy lifestyles, overcome complacency to reduce workplace injuries, and to support retirement eligible employees in their retirement preparation.
We invite you to share in this unique opportunity to engage with the Tri-Cities community, Hanford contractors, small businesses and the young minds of our future. Admission is free and open to all ages of the public.
