Once a person has exceeded the requalification window they must then start the training cycle over again, with either an initial training class or a challenge exam. Ballot 209 is to clarify that a Load Test does not need to meet the planning and documentation requirements of a Critical Lift Chapter 3.0 Critical Lifts.

158, Termination of Controlled Hard Copies of the HSHRM

Ballot 158 approved the termination of the production of controlled hard copies of the Hanford Site Hoisting & Rigging Manual (HSHRM). The HSHRM is available on the intranet and internet and can be downloaded and printed for those who wish to maintain a hard copy. This change will allow the immediate publication of approved ballots rather than the current practice of waiting several months to gather ballots to perform a controlled hard copy release. The change will result in a cost savings and ensure each ballot is published upon approval on the intranet and internet, reducing the current lag time between approval and publication of the change.
