The U.S. Department of Energy will hold a 90-day public comment period on the Draft Hanford Site Cleanup Completion Framework.  The comment period will run from August 24 through November 30, 2009.  This document provides a ‘roadmap’ to Hanford cleanup by outlining the goals and strategies for achieving cleanup in Hanford’s three major areas – River Corridor, Central Plateau and Tank Farms.  This document does not make regulatory decisions.  Its intent is to provide an overview of the goals and approaches for completing Hanford cleanup and a context for understanding how individual cleanup actions fit into the overall approach.
