The public feedback period end date has been extended April 29, 2022.
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Richland Operations Office (RL) and Office of River Protection (ORP) have released the 2022 Hanford Lifecycle Scope, Schedule and Cost Report (Lifecycle Report). The Lifecycle Report is a milestone requirement under the Hanford Federal Facility Agreement and Consent Order, also known as the Tri-Party Agreement (TPA). The Lifecycle Report reflects the cleanup work that ORP and RL must complete under the TPA and other environmental obligations.
The Lifecycle Report serves as a foundation for preparing federal budget requests and for informational briefings to affected tribal nations, the state of Oregon, and Hanford stakeholders. The report shall also support continued discussions with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Washington State Department of Ecology on how and when the DOE will complete cleanup and how milestone changes and adjustments will affect lifecycle scope, schedule and cost.
The 2022 Lifecycle Report is available at https://go.usa.gov/xE8sB. The Lifecycle Report information reflects scope, schedule and cost status that is current as of August 31, 2021, and the costs shown have been escalated for inflation.
DOE will collect public feedback on the report. All feedback on the report needs to be submitted in writing by April 15, 2022 April 29, 2022. All feedback received will be considered when DOE drafts the next report for release in 2025.
