The Manhattan Project National Historical Park Study Act (2004) directed the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a study on the preservation and interpretation of historic sites of the Manhattan Project for potential inclusion in the National Park System. The Manhattan Project sites to be studied include: 1) Los Alamos National Laboratory and town site in New Mexico; 2) Hanford site in Washington; 3) Oak Ridge Reservation in Tennessee and 4) Dayton, Ohio. Hanford’s B Reactor is the one of the facilities being evaluated.
