The U.S. Department of Energy, Office of River Protection (ORP) is conducting a public meeting along with a 60-day public comment period to support a proposed Class 3 permit modification to the Hanford Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant (WTP) Dangerous Waste Permit. The modification is needed to support construction activities for the Direct-Feed Low Activity Waste Effluent Management Facility (EMF) Secondary Containment systems.
The public comment period runs from November 28, 2016 through January 27, 2017 and there is a corresponding public meeting at 5:30 p.m. on December 14, 2016 in the Richland City Library.
The proposed modification and supporting documentation are available for review at http://pdw.hanford.gov/arpir/index.cfm/viewDoc?accession=0073833H. Copies are also available for review at the Hanford Administrative Record Public Information Repository located at 2440 Stevens Drive, Richland, WA, and at other Hanford Public Information Repositories located throughout the Northwest.
